2) Vince Can Be Quite Generous
Vince McMahon is often portrayed as a greedy billionaire to the general public. There are some stories behind the scenes that say Vince can actually be quite generous with his money.
You might remember Bob Holly (aka Hardcore Holly) from WWE television. In his early career, his gimmick was a NASCAR driver named: Bob “Spark Plug” Holly. This gimmick actually came with its own race car that was used in vignettes and worth over $100,000 in equipment.
According to Holly on the Xpac 1,2,360 show, Vince gifted Holly the race car:
“He goes, no, I’m gonna let you have it. I’m going to sell it to you. I think he was screwing with me. He had to have been. I was in a panic because I was like, oh my God how am I going to get the money to pay for this? There’s no way. Even if they took it out of my pay I would end up with nothing for years and years and years. I was freaking out. So then he goes, I’m going to sell it to you for a hundred dollars. I’m like, excuse me? He goes, a hundred dollars.
I said no, I will sell it and get you your money out of all this equipment and give it back. He goes, nope. It’s yours for a hundred dollars. I insist. Stay on the phone with my attorney and we’ll send you all the paperwork and blah, blah, blah, and he hung up. To this day I never saw that hundred dollars come out of my paycheck.”
Vince isn’t as evil as everybody makes him out to be.
1) Vince Once Went On Live TV After Pooping Himself
Jim Ross was interviewed by Opie and Anthony back in 2014, telling the story of Vince pooping himself right before he had to go to the ring and cut a promo on RAW.
As the story goes, Vince tried to fart in Jerry Brisco’s general direction and disaster happened. Jerry apparently has a very weak stomach and Vince was trying to mess with him.
Here is the story from Ross:
“I’ll never forget it: Vince had a pair of khaki colored slacks, nice slacks, and probably a $5,000 sports coat, custom-made. He’s waiting on his music cue, to make his walk to the ring. And so he turns his back to Brisco to deposit something in the air, and it got liquid. He sharted. He sharted”
Vince had to go out almost immediately on RAW to cut his promo. Ross says none of the cameramen had the balls to shoot Vince from an angle that would have displayed anything to the viewers at home.
