1) Braun Strowman Will Eliminate James Ellsworth

The first item on our list of 2017 Royal Rumble match predictions seems oddly specific on first glance. We don’t know if James Ellsworth will even be in the match.

A theme in a majority of Rumble matches is a comedy segment. I think this year we will see a callback to James Ellsworth’s WWE debut, where he was squashed by Braun Strowman.

Ellsworth appeared on an episode of RAW in 2016 and uttered the phrase: “any man with two hands has a fighting chance”. He proceeded to get squashed by Braun Strowman in quick fashion. He won the hearts of WWE fans and was brought back a few months later, this time on Smackdown Live, where he has become a staple of WWE programming.

We have seen Ellsworth and Strowman interact on numerous occasions since their first match. This includes Ellsworth getting Strowman counted out from the Survivor Series elimination match.

I predict that Ellsworth will be an early entrant in the match, he might achieve some success, until the music of Strowman hits. The face of Ellsworth will be priceless as he awaits his impending doom. Strowman will enter the match and brutalize Ellsworth before mercifully throwing him over the top rope.
