5) Chris Jericho

Chris Jericho has seemingly done it all in his career, but one thing he hasn’t accomplished is winning the Royal Rumble match.

He came the closest back in 2011, when he was last eliminated by Sheamus. On the first RAW of 2017, Jericho announced his intentions to enter the Rumble match, much to the dismay of his best friend and WWE Universal Champion: Kevin Owens.

Owens shared concern that if he won, they would be forced to wrestle at Wrestlemania for the WWE Universal Championship. It has become clear over the past several months that WWE is building towards a Kevin Owens vs Chris Jericho match at Wrestlemania.

This requires Owens to retain his title at the Rumble against Roman Reigns. If Jericho wins, we would have a very entertaining storyline on our hands. It would also be a payoff of an angle that has been going on for the better part of 2016, the friendship between Owens and Jericho.

Jericho vs Owens at Wrestlemania would be awesome, and Jericho winning the Rumble would make this into a sweet possibility.
