5 Booking Decisions That Would Have Made WWE Fastlane Much Better

We are a few days removed from RAW’s exclusive pay-per-view, WWE Fastlane 2017, and needless to say there was a lot of emotions that came out of this at least from the IWC. I, like many others, were infuriated with the results of this event after it concluded; and it was interesting to see what everyone was thinking. Since I have a clear head, and I hope those of you that are reading this do as well, I would like to take a look at five things that could have made Fastlane 2017 better.

Please note, I do not think that what I say is gospel or that I am 100% right. I’m writing this because I would like to share my opinions with the wrestling community, and hopefully I hear some varying opinions from those that read it.

1. Reigns/Strowman Ends in a DQ

Let’s be honest, both men were booked really strong coming into this event, especially Braun Strowman. He was pushed almost to the moon and was booked like a true monster and looked to be WWE’s next “Big Man.”

Unfortunately, after putting him through a table and dominating throughout the match, Braun Strowman fell short as Roman Reigns speared the former monster of the Wyatt family in 1-2-3. My issue with this, and has been pointed out in previous articles on here, Reigns keeps looking like the underdog by just delivering Superman punches and spears left and right after he has been dominated. That booking, in my opinion, gets annoying and is why I don’t like the character of Roman Reigns. “The Big Dog” should not be the “Underdog.”

By having this match end in a disqualification, which would’ve been cool if we saw outside interference from The Undertaker, this would protect both men and still make them look incredibly strong heading into the “Showcase of Immortals.”

I understand why the result was what it was, WWE wants Roman Reigns to look strong (that’s a never-ending joke because it’s true) going into WrestleMania against The Undertaker. I would venture to guess that Reigns goes over, as it would be a waste of a push. With WrestleMania only 4 weeks away, we shall see how everything transpires.

Use the buttons below for number 2 on our list of booking decisions that would have made Fastlane better.

  1. I most definitely agree that Braun Strowman should not have been pinned. If Undertaker had caused a distraction or even gotten Roman Reigns disqualified, not only would Strowman have remained undefeated but Taker would have one-upped Roman for eliminating him at the Rumble. It would have added fuel to their feud and upcoming Wrestlemania match. All bases would have been covered.

  2. So you want Owens to win the US Title, but also retain the Universal? Three of your 5 arguments you clearly are grabbing at straws
