Hulk Hogan Opens Up About His Departure From WWE And The Night The Company Cut Ties With Him

Hulk Hogan will be a guest on Sunday’s episode of ‘OBJECTified’ on FOX News. Wrestling INC has received an exclusive clip from the episode, which discusses Hogan’s departure from WWE a few years ago.

WWE cut all of their ties with Hogan in 2015. This included removing him from the WWE Hall of Fame and taking his merchandise down from WWE Shop. This came after the story leaked online of Hogan’s racist rant that made mainstream news.

Hogan opened up about the night when he found out that WWE was cutting all ties with him:

“When I heard this was going to happen, I called them on a Thursday or a Friday. As I hung up the phone that night, they fired me in the morning. It really caught me off guard, I didn’t expect it because the WWE knows who I am. I’m not that person, that’s not who I am and that’s not what I do.”

He says that WWE did what was best for business when asked why they cut ties with him:

“I think they did what was best for business. They were worried about losing sponsors and network support.”

He says that everything hit him very hard when it all happened:

“It was tough, it hit me hard. When you look at a 40-year career, it’s just gone.”

On the topic of if he would ever come back to WWE, that will air on Sunday night on Fox News.
