If you are a fan of Women’s wrestling in WWE, we have some great news to pass along to you (and horrible news if you are a Stardom fan). According to a new report, WWE will be getting a HUGE boost to their Women’s division in the very near future.
According to a report from Dave Meltzer, Io Shirai has accepted WWE’s offer to sign with the company.
It was originally announced by WWE a few months ago that Shirai had attended a tryout at the WWE Performance Center. Hours after the tryout, WWE mysteriously deleted all mentions of her name from their article.
It is unclear what happened a few months ago, but WWE and her have reportedly reached an agreement.
Shirai will be joining Kairi Hojo, who also recently signed with the company. Both Kairi and Io are widely considered to be two of the best female wrestler’s in the entire world. If you are unfamiliar with them, I would recommend checking out some of their highlights!
