Samoa Joe Reportedly Injured, RAW Plans Changed

It was reported on Monday afternoon that there were plans in place for John Cena to face off with Samoa Joe on Monday Night RAW this week. This was going to be a big-time match based on Cena and Joe’s history with one another (they started their careers together in UPW). As we know now, this never ended up happening.

It appears as if the reason why it didn’t happen is because Joe is injured.

According to a report from Mike Johnson of PWInsider, Joe suffered some sort of knee injury over the weekend. This nixed the Cena vs Joe plans for RAW this week that were originally planned.

Joe wrestled John Cena at the WWE live events on Friday and Saturday. He was supposed to also wrestle on Sunday night but was pulled at the last moment.

According to the report, the injury could keep Joe out of action for 4 weeks. It has not been publicly announced by WWE.

Xavier Woods was also potentially injured during a WWE live event on Monday night. Seems like WWE has themselves a bit of an injury bug at the moment.

Hopefully both Woods and Joe are okay and they aren’t more serious than a few weeks. Hoping for the best and we will let you know when we hear any more.
