NXT currently has some of the best teachers in professional wrestling. From William Regal to Matthew Bloom to Sarah Del Rey to many more, NXT is a great place to learn the professional wrestling business. It appears like their coaching staff could be getting another big addition, with rumors circulating about Shawn Michaels entering the fold.
An interesting tweet from Jason Solomon started the speculation:
As mentioned on Sound Off 456, I was told Shawn Michaels moved to Orlando, has been teaching a class at the PC formerly led by Terry Taylor

This was met with a lot of criticism because Michaels seems like the guy who would never move away from his home in Texas. In past interviews it also didn’t seem like he had any interest in working with the company in any capacity.
PWInsider.com’s Mike Johnson also had a similar report, saying basically the same thing.

This is only good news for NXT if this is true. They already have a world-class coaching staff in NXT and now one of the greatest of all time to ever lace up a pair of boots is involved to share his knowledge. Michaels has a history with teaching as he previously ran The Shawn Michaels Wrestling Academy, where he trained guys like Daniel Bryan and Brian Kendrick.

Have hard time believing he would leave texas
yeeaaah, I dunno… b/t his home life, hunting shows on CMT, his disdain/criticism and propensity for not watching the product during his retirement … I can’t imagine what sort of itch he feels compelled to scratch all of a sudden.
none of this makes sense, unless they just gave him some unreal dollars. which also doesn’t make sense because you could simply give him unreal dollars to wrestle, which he has said many times he could do again in a heart beat, if he wanted. I just suspect the money and/or angle was never enticing to him before.
that said, I suppose a scenario could exist where shawn may be doing HHH a solid by coming in and lending a helping had for a brief stretch. but I certainly can’t imagine this is a long term deal. he could also be staying in flordia w/ HHH, for all we know. moving doesn’t mean he bought a house and now resides there full time.
none of this really adds up or makes sense knowing what we know about shawn. but then again, my perception of him may be waaaay off.
