WWE Could Be Getting Some Heat After Jinder Mahal’s Promo On Smackdown

On Smackdown Live this week, Jinder Mahal (with the Singh Brothers) cut a promo on his WWE Championship challenger: Shinsuke Nakamura. The promo saw Jinder make fun of Nakamura with the Singh Brothers laughing hysterically. This included referring to Nakamura as ‘Mr. Miyagi’ from the Karate Kid movies.

The crowd responded by chanting “That’s too far” at Jinder.

The promo received a lot of backlash on social media for being racist. According to a report from PWInsider, there was a lot of talk backstage about Jinder’s promo and the crowd’s reaction.

As of writing this, WWE has not uploaded the video of the segment to their Youtube channel. It was also completely omitted from the ‘Top 10 SmackDown LIVE moments’ video on their channel.

It also appears as if there is some bad press coming to WWE. Washington Post writer: Marissa Payne tweeted about a story coming regarding ‘racist promos’.

Looks like WWE could be getting some heat for this one. What did you think of the promo? Let us know in the comment section below.
