Chris Jericho was attacked by his former best friend: Kevin Owens on RAW this week during the ‘Festival of Friendship’ segment. Jericho presented Owens with a wide variety of gifts and gave a heartwarming speech to him during the segment. As a thank you, Owens tossed Jericho through the LED screen and powerbombed him onto the side of the ring.
WWE.com provided a storyline update on Jericho, detailing some of the injuries that he sustained in the attack:
“Chris Jericho was taken to a local medical facility to be evaluated for cervical pain and possible injuries caused by the powerbomb on the apron by Kevin Owens. Jericho also appears to have suffered several lacerations and contusions”
