Matt and Jeff Hardy have had incredible careers in the WWE, as a tag team and as singles competitors. Over the past year we have seen a completely new side of them with the ‘Broken Matt’ and ‘Brother Nero’ gimmicks that have been a hot topic in the wrestling world.
After Kurt Angle was announced for the 2017 WWE Hall of Fame, the Hardy Boyz have arguably jumped to the top of the list of former WWE stars that fans want to see return to the company.
According to the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Matt and Jeff Hardy have both not signed new contracts with Impact Wrestling. They are apparently going to fill their dates over the next month or two before figuring out their next step.
Rumors have been circulating that WWE has a lot of interest in bringing them back. They have not offered them a contract yet due to legal reasons but it is rumored to be clear to Matt and Jeff that they would have spots in WWE if they want them.
It is still unclear if Matt and Jeff both actually want to return to WWE. Matt specifically has found his character in TNA and there is no way that he would have anywhere near the creative freedom that he does right now.
Jeff has spoken about wanting to return to WWE one day but only if it was on a part-time basis.

I guess we will have to wait and see what happens. It will also be interesting to see if they were to return if they would come back under their own gimmicks of the Hardy Boyz or if WWE would try to use their new characters.

i think they need to be the old hardy in the wwe, and broken matt and brother nero should say in the tna.
this is the mistake wwe and wcw made with hulk hogan. hulk hogan was the wwe but it do not work in wcw until he became hollywood hogan. but once wwe bought wcw and hogan came back he first appear in a wwe ring as hollywood hogan which did not work when he faced the rock and wrestlemania, everybody want to see hulk hogan. some wrestlers have gimmick that work for them in one wrestling company and not another.
I’d love to see them return but Vince but probably screw it up
