Original Plans For Carmella And The ‘Superstar Shake-Up’

Ever since getting drafted by Smackdown Live last year, Carmella has shown significant improvement as a WWE Superstar. She has solidified herself as one of the top females on Smackdown’s roster and will only get better as time passes.

Carmella didn’t move to Monday Night RAW during the ‘Superstar Shake-Up’ and will be sticking around the blue brand moving forward.

According to some rumors that are circulating, this wasn’t the original plan for Carmella.

Rumors suggest that Carmella was supposed to go to RAW in the ‘Superstar Shake-Up’. At the last moment, WWE changed the plans to Mickie James moving instead, giving the RAW Women’s division a veteran presence.

The idea was that Carmella would have been reunited with Enzo and Big Cass, the team that she used to manage in NXT. The idea was that now that Carmella had solidified herself as a great talent on her own, a partnership between her, Enzo and Big Cass could be great for all 3. She used to mainly serve as a cheerleader for the team but with her improvement inside of the ring, she would have been able to serve as much more than just their manager on RAW.

Now that Carmella is staying on Smackdown, we know that WWE has scrapped those plans. This does look good for a reunion in the future for the group though. Carmella is only going to keep improving as time passes and could see herself jump into the Women’s title picture in the near future.

  1. They should trade Carmella for Emma or else Emma will become lowest rank heel below Nia, Alexa and even Sasha who may turn heel anytime soon.
