On The Samoa Joe And Brock Lesnar Feud Moving Forward

We have mentioned prior that the Samoa Joe vs Brock Lesnar feud is expected to be a one-and-done type scenario. Brock was originally expected to move on to Braun Strowman or someone else at Summerslam after beating Joe.

It was mentioned this week that if the angle between Joe and Lesnar was able to garner enough steam, it could lead to a rematch between the two. This would all depend on ratings and how the angle was being received by fans.

This past week on RAW, fans saw Brock Lesnar and Samoa Joe get into an epic brawl. The entire locker room had to pull them apart from one another. This was a great segment and has helped build Joe into a credible opponent for Brock.

Big success on Youtube

As of writing this, the video of the brawl on Youtube has over 5.7 million views. As a bit of a comparison, the amazing angle from RAW a few weeks ago where Samoa Joe choked out Paul Heyman currently sits at 1.6 million views. Also, the video of Brock hitting Goldberg with an F5 the night after he won the Universal Title has 5.3 million views.

What this tells us is that there is clearly a lot of interest in the feud between Brock and Joe. Maybe even enough to get the WWE thinking about extending it.

Some rumors are also suggesting that due to the video’s success on Youtube, WWE could be planning something bigger between the two in the next few weeks.

The moral of the story is that if WWE keeps building this feud like they have been doing, we could see it extended into Summerslam. Joe has looked like a million bucks so far working with Lesnar. We can only assume his stock will continue to rise as they interact over the next few weeks.

Take all rumors with a grain of salt as always. If you are a fan of Joe, let’s hope WWE goes all-in on the feud.
