Summerslam this year will be headlined by a massive fatal 4-way match. Brock Lesnar will be defending his WWE Universal Championship against Braun Strowman, Roman Reigns and Samoa Joe.
There has been a lot of buzz about the match, especially since Paul Heyman announced that if Brock loses the title, he will be leaving WWE. Speculation has been running wild about Brock potentially returning to UFC and dropping the belt at the event.
Summerslam Rumors
According to Dave Meltzer in the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter (subscribe here), the finish of the fatal 4-way match is being kept a secret from just about everybody.
According to the report, none of the writing team, backstage producers or participants [except Brock] in the match have been told the finish. One of the few people that knows is apparently Brock Lesnar, since his contract states that he is told everything (involving him) in advance.
Everybody else will apparently be told the finish at the last moment.
The reason for this would obviously be because they have something big planned and don’t want it to leak out. With all the rumors that have been floating around about Brock over the past few weeks, this certainly adds some more intrigue to the match and what happens.
