The Undertaker Retiring After Wrestlemania 33?

One of the biggest questions heading into Wrestlemania 33 is if it will be the final appearance by the Undertaker. There have been some rumors over the past few months that ‘The Deadman’ has been dealing with numerous health issues that come along with over 2 decades of being on top of WWE.

The Undertaker is scheduled to face off against Roman Reigns at Wrestlemania 33. This is  a match-up that certainly has the wrestling world talking to say the least.

Is the Undertaker finished?

On the March 13th episode of RAW, we saw Shawn Michaels appear to warn Roman Reigns about how dangerous the Undertaker can be. Roman Reigns said that he didn’t want any advice from someone that was ‘retired by the Undertaker’. He would go on to say after that he would be the one that retires the Undertaker.

Was this just Reigns hyping the match or was he foreshadowing what could be the future? There is a very real possibility that Reigns wins at Wrestlemania, ending the career of the Undertaker.

A recent report from Sportskeeda says that in WWE’s Kids Magazine (which is an official publication of the company) teased Wrestlemania 33 being the Undertaker’s last match. The magazine says:

“Undertaker – Could it be his last ‘Mania? We expect an entrance that’s phenom-enal”

We have also noted prior that Vince McMahon really wanted to see this match because of the uncertain health of the Undertaker. He sees this as a ‘passing of the torch’ type situation because like him or not, Reigns is going to be a staple of WWE for the next decade.

There is no question that WWE sees Roman Reigns as the future of their company. Retiring the Undertaker at Wrestlemania would be a big notch in his belt. Plus, the heat on Reigns from fans, if he wins the match, would be massive. It might just be too good for WWE to pass up.

Let us know what you think in the comment section below. Do you think the Undertaker will retire after Wrestlemania 33 or will he continue on until next year? Reminder as always to take all rumors with a grain of salt.
