The storyline that everybody has been talking about over the past few days is Jason Jordan being revealed as Kurt Angle’s illegitimate son on RAW. Before the announcement, fans were heavily speculating on what Angle’s big secret could be, with many wild theories emerging.
So when did Jason Jordan find out that he would be a part of such a big storyline?
Here is the latest on the topic at hand.
According to Dave Meltzer in the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter (subscribe here), Jason Jordan found out about the storyline with Kurt Angle last week.
There had also been some previous indications a few weeks ago that American Alpha was going to get a new storyline on Smackdown Live. As we know now, this was scrapped and the team has officially split-up.
If this is accurate and Jordan did find out last week, did WWE change their original plans for this big reveal? Or it is possible that they simply waited until the time was right to share the news with Jordan. We will have to wait for more information to come to light to say definitively.
The storyline has plenty of possibilities moving forward. According to a recent report, the storyline will be a long-term thing and one of the main focuses of RAW over the next few months.
