June 13 2016 RAW Ratings Suffer Big Drop.

The RAW ratings this week took a big hit, dipping below 3 million viewers. The show averaged 2.96 million viewers going head to head against Game 5 of the NBA Championship between the Golden State Warriors and the Cleveland Cavaliers. This is big drop from last week’s average of 3.25 million viewers.
Here is the hours break down for the June 13 2016 RAW;
Hour 1: 3.04
Hour 2: 3.11
Hour 3: 2.76
Another example of the WWE mailing in the third hour last night. We saw the Ambrose Asylum segment with the Shield members go in the first hour. We saw the John Cena and AJ Styles contract signing at the end of the second hour. The third hour felt like filler and featured Dean Ambrose vs Chris Jericho as the main event.

I get it, the WWE likely figured they had no chance with the NBA game on so they didn’t even try. It should be concerning for them though that their numbers continue to drop. I feel as if nothing really happens anymore on RAW and that is concerning. Fans could easily keep up on Youtube the next day or just skip a week with no consequences.
If they want ratings to improve they need to make the show matter again. Hopefully the brand split makes that happen next month!
