WWE Money In The Bank 2016 Predictions

IWNerd.com’s WWE Money In The Bank 2016 Predictions

Here are IWNerd.com’s official WWE Money In The Bank 2016 predictions! The event takes place Sunday at the T-MOBILE ARENA in LAS VEGAS.  Make sure to leave your picks in the comment section below and we will see who did the best!

Kickoff Show:

Apollo Crews vs Sheamus.

  • A match that hasn’t gotten much build heading into Sunday. Apollo needs a big win to cement his spot on the main roster after not really making much of an impact since he made his main roster debut after Wrestlemania 32. Sheamus can afford a loss here. Prediction: Apollo Crews.

Baron Corbin vs Dolph Ziggler.

  • This is the third time these 2 will be facing off on the kickoff show. I think it is clear that this feud needs to end. I expect Corbin to win here and keep moving forward into something more meaningful. Prediction: Baron Corbin.

Main Card:

Titus O’Neil vs Rusev (WWE United States Championship).

  • I like Titus, but I think there is a VERY small chance he is able to win the title here. Rusev has just started his U.S title run and I think the WWE wants to keep the belt on him moving forward. Should be a decent match, but expect Rusev to win. Prediction: Rusev.

Becky Lynch and Natalya vs Charlotte and Dana Brooke.

  • Confused as to why this isn’t a match on RAW and is on the PPV. Seems like a step backwards for Women’s wrestling to not have your Women’s Champion defending her title. I expect Becky and Natalya to win here. Specifically, Becky will pin Charlotte and set up a potential Women’s title match next month. Prediction – Becky Lynch and Natalya.

The New Day vs The Vaudevillains vs Enzo and Big Cass vs Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson (WWE Tag Team Championship).

  • This should be a really fun match. 4 exciting teams in a fatal 4-way match for the WWE Tag Team titles. The odds are against the New Day here to retain their title against 3 other teams. The kicker for me is that they are only a month away from breaking Paul London and Brian Kendrick’s record for the longest reigning WWE tag team (in a single reign) at 331 days. I think the New Day retains here and goes on to break the record and take their place in history. If not the New Day, I expect Anderson and Gallows to be the ones that take the belts. Prediction: The New Day.

AJ Styles vs John Cena.

  • A ‘Dream Match’ that has been 15 years in the making. I am very excited for this one and I think it will be an incredible match with an electric atmosphere. Who needs this win more? I would say AJ Styles by a long shot. He has lost to Jericho at WrestleMania 32 and than Roman Reigns at 2 straight WWE PPV’s. If the WWE wants to keep Styles as a threat, no better way to do it than with a huge win over John Cena. I expect this feud to drag on further (maybe even into Summerslam). I expect AJ to win the first one but this is only the beginning! Prediction: AJ Styles.

Sami Zayn vs Cesaro vs Kevin Owens vs Chris Jericho vs Dean Ambrose vs Alberto Del Rio (Money In The Bank Ladder Match).

  • Let’s start from the bottom. I don’t think Alberto Del Rio has a chance here so we will cut him from contention early. Sami Zayn is still fresh in the minds of WWE fans so very doubtful he gets the nod. Jericho is a threat, but I am not sure if the company wants him to have another main event run or not. He is a threat but I don’t think he wins. I would love Cesaro to win, but I don’t think the WWE will pull the trigger. That leaves Dean Ambrose and Kevin Owens as my final 2 with the best chances. I would be okay with both: Dean wins and the WWE can tease a Shield triple threat and not to mention Dean’s unpredictable character would be perfect with the briefcase. On the other hand Kevin Owens as a heel would be amazing with the briefcase as he taunts the WWE Champion and pulls plenty of heel antics. I think either are a win-win for WWE fans. My heart says they throw a bone to Ambrose here and give him the contract (and ultimately the title). Prediction: Dean Ambrose.

Seth Rollins vs Roman Reigns (WWE Heavyweight Championship).

  • This should be another great match. Seth Rollins will be looking to reclaim his WWE Heavyweight Championship that he never lost. Roman has been on a strong stretch lately with some nice title defenses against AJ Styles. I think many fans will predict that Reigns will retain his title. I have been fairly safe with my picks so far so I am going to go with Seth Rollins to win. I think the story would be great. Seth reclaims his title that he never lost, proving that he is once again the top guy in the company. I don’t really expect it to happen but I am going to risk it anyways! Prediction: Seth Rollins.
