Kurt Angle On What The Greatest Achievement Of His Career Is, The Grueling Pro-Wrestling Business

Kurt Angle has had a lot of success in his life. In amateur wrestling he was a Division 1 All-American and a 2 time Division 1 champion. Most fans already know about the gold medal he won in the 1996 Olympics. In professional wrestling, Kurt has won a plethora of World championships in the WWE and TNA. So what is the greatest achievement so far in his life? In a recent interview with the Belleville News-Democrat, Kurt revealed his greatest achievement of his life and spoke about the grueling life of a professional wrestler.

Kurt Angle on the greatest achievement of his entire career:

“I get asked that question quite often. What was the single greatest achievement of my career? Was it winning the WWE title? Was it winning the TNA heavyweight championship? No, it was winning the Olympic Gold medal. It defined my career. It defined my life. Aside from being a dad four times with a fifth one on the way, it’s the highlight” (Source: Belleville News-Democrat).

Angle also spoke about the professional wrestling business in general, saying that it takes a lot on their bodies:

“Wrestling professionally is a great life, but it’s also a very grueling and demanding lifestyle we as wrestlers go through. I mean we’re on the road constantly, doing between 250 to 300 shows each year. Hitting the mat as much as we do, it takes its toll on us physically” (Source: Belleville News-Democrat).

Not surprise. Winning a gold medal is an amazing accomplishment that only a very small amount of people in the world can claim! Hopefully Kurt adds one last WWE run before he hangs up the boots and finishes his legendary career that is surely WWE Hall of Fame worth.
