As you saw on Smackdown LIVE this week (and from the highlights above), Dolph Ziggler faced off against Bray Wyatt in the main event. It was hard to catch but during a roll-up attempt from Dolph, it look like Bray Wyatt injured his leg in some way. The match continued and Dolph ended up picking up the win but Wyatt and Erick Rowan ended up standing tall to close the show. We have some more details on the injury to Bray.

According to fans in attendance, the referee threw up the X symbol when Wyatt was on the ground. The X generally means a legit injury and for the match to end. Wyatt reportedly told the referee he didn’t need any help from the ringside doctors and continued to the match as planned.
Dave Meltzer on the latest episode of Wrestling Observer Radio (subscription required but recommended), confirmed that Bray Wyatt injured his ankle during the match. Wyatt apparently sprained his ankle but was able to fight through it. The plan right now is for Wyatt to power through the pain this weekend and still wrestle on the weekend live events.

If he ends up getting pulled from any of these it will indicate that it might be a bit more serious. If you have had a sprained ankle before you would know it is painful but sometimes you can power through the pain if it’s not so bad.
Bray Wyatt injured his calf a couple months ago and returned in late June. I am really hoping the injury isn’t anything serious and he can power through it. Smackdown needs him healthy!
