Kota Ibushi has made quite the impression so far in his short time with the WWE. He is currently competing in the WWE’s Cruiserweight Classic where he is showing North American fans why he is one of the best wrestlers in the world. There has been much speculation surrounding him and if he is signing with the WWE full-time after the CWC. We have an update to report.

Japanese wrestling reporter Enuhito announced that Ibushi doesn’t plan on signing with the WWE full-time. Here is what he said.
Ibushi was asked if he was signing full-time with the WWE:
“No. I refused to sign the full time deal with WWE. But I think I may keep wrestling in WWE as spot” (Source: Enuhito).
If he plans on working matches in Japan:
“Yes. I can’t say the detail but I am already booked some matches” (Source: Enuhito).

Disappointing news as a WWE fan as I was hoping he was going to sign full-time. This could mean that he will still wrestle occasionally for the company. I have been incredibly impressed by him so far and hope to see a lot more of him in the future. Now that we know he isn’t signing full-time, I wonder if this means that he won’t win the CWC. I assume the WWE will have one of the guys win who is staying with them win?

I thought cedric alexander should have been selected. he has the ROH chops. he’s wrestled for a promotion and in front of live crowds. he has appeal and is good on the mic, in the ring and represents the company well. … and he speaks perfect English.
