Sasha Banks lost the WWE Women’s Championship at Summerslam to Charlotte. Many fans were surprised because it was only a couple of weeks into her title reign. There have been some rumors floating around the internet and I wanted to put some of the possible reasons she lost the title in one place.

-WrestlingInc.com and Wrestlezone.com are reporting that Sasha has been removed from WWE Live Event advertisements until September 23rd. This is over 30 days away which has many fans speculating that it could be a wellness policy violation. The WWE has recently cracked down on stars with Paige, Eva Marie and Alberto Del Rio recently getting suspended. They all received 30 day suspensions.
-The most obvious reason is that it is for storyline purposes. Sasha loses the title, setting up a re-match between these ladies at the next PPV. This is professional wrestling after all and things can happen.
–Sasha Banks was recently married. Some are speculating that she could be taking time off for her honeymoon. Doubtful but a possibility.
-Another possibility is that Sasha is injured. She has taken a lot of serious looking bumps in her recent matches and could need some time to rest.
Really hoping it is not the first option. It does seem strange that she would lose the title after only a single reign. It makes many think that something could be going on with her. We will keep you updated with the latest news as it breaks!
