The Usos vs. The Hype Bros.
With the Usos recent heel turn, this one is a no-brainer for me. The Usos finally have a bit of an edge to their characters and them winning here only makes sense. Winners: The Usos.
WWE INTERCONTINENTAL CHAMPIONSHIP – The Miz (c) vs. Dolph Ziggler.
After the Miz’s fiery promo on Talking Smack, I expect him to retain and keep the momentum going. It is a shame though as I hate seeing Dolph lose two big matches in a row. Just can’t see the Miz losing right now. Winner: The Miz.
Randy Orton vs. Bray Wyatt.
A tough one here. I really think Bray Wyatt could really benefit from a win here. It always seems like the WWE mishandles Bray and books him to lose. A majority of fans see the talent in him but it’s sometimes hard to take him seriously when he constantly loses feuds/ big matches. On the other hand, Randy Orton just came off a big loss to Brock Lesnar at Summerslam and I am not sure if the WWE wants to book him to lose another one. For that reason I am thinking Orton wins here. Winner: Randy Orton.
Smackdown Tag Team Championships – Rhyno & Heath Slater vs. The Usos.
As much as I want Rhyno and Slater to win here, I can’t choose them. I have been incredibly entertained by the duo recently, especially Slater and his WWE free agency. Logically, the Usos have just turned heel by taking out American Alpha (the title favorites). The Usos win the titles and go on a nice little run. Their first defense can be at the hands of American Alpha, who want retribution for what happened. The story writes itself. Winners: The Usos.
Smackdown Women’s Championship – Nikki Bella vs. Becky Lynch vs. Carmella vs Natalya vs. Alexa Bliss vs. Naomi.
Only two options possible here (in my head at least). One option is they give the title to Nikki Bella. She gives the title some instant credibility (since she is a former champion). The other option is give the title to Becky Lynch who is by far the most popular female on Smackdown’s roster. I think what happens is Nikki wins and Becky is forced to play chase, delaying her first title reign, again. Winner: Nikki Bella.
WWE CHAMPIONSHIP – Dean Ambrose (c) vs. AJ Styles
This should be a fantastic match. Nothing against Ambrose or his title reign but I think AJ Styles has so much momentum right now that it would be pretty great to see him win the title. I am going with my heart instead of my head on this one and picking him. Imagine if Styles becomes the WWE Champion. That leaves Styles (Smackdown), Kevin Owens (RAW) and Shinsuke Nakamura (NXT) as the top champions of the company. Talk about a change in culture. Winner: Aj Styles.
