The September 20th Smackdown was headlined by some big matches. We saw Dean Ambrose take on (and defeat) John Cena in the main event. We saw The Usos take on American Alpha to determine the number one contenders for the Smackdown Tag Team Titles. We also saw an Intercontinental Championship match between The Miz and Dolph Ziggler. Was this weeks show able to beat RAW in the viewership numbers?

According to ShowbuzzDaily.com, the September 20th Smackdown LIVE drew: 2.292 million viewers. This is down 14% from last weeks: 2.658 million viewers.
This was very odd considering the WWE promoted two huge matches beforehand (Cena vs Ambrose and Intercontinental title match). I was personally expecting a ratings increase and maybe even surpassing RAW this week that only drew a record low: 2.684 million viewers.
Not really sure how to explain this drop in numbers. The WWE wasn’t going head to head against the National Football League and the show was solid.

Here were the top 10 moments from the September 20th Smackdown LIVE episode:
To compare the ratings with other shows, Smackdown was the 3rd best show for Tuesday night on cable television.
11 PM Family Guy(Adult Swim) was #1
11:30 PM Family Guy(Adult Swim) was #2
Smackdown(USA Network) was #3
… Pretty good if you ask me. This list isnt including Primetime television… You know; ABC, NBC, etc..
Just cable TV.
