Something Big Planned For Survivor Series?

Survivor Series takes place this Sunday in Toronto, Ontario. The event is headlined by 3 traditional elimination matches along with the long-awaited rematch between Brock Lesnar and Goldberg. At first glance, the card is solid. Does WWE have something up their sleeves for Sunday?

On the latest Wrestling Observer Radio (subscription required but recommended), Bryan Alvarez and Dave Meltzer briefly mentioned that they have heard rumblings that WWE has something big planned for the Survivor Series. They didn’t elaborate and left it fairly vague regarding the main event.

Let me put my speculation hat on for a minute and try to think of what it could be. Note: this is all speculation from us at this point and not confirmed by any means.

Could it be an appearance for the Rock?? Let’s take a quick second to add some things up. This year marks the 20th anniversary of the Rock’s debut at Survivor Series. They just released a new Rock shirt on WWE Shop… Could he return and set up Lesnar vs Rock?? Could see them using him in some capacity.

Maybe that is a bit unrealistic. How about a big debut of some sort? We have mentioned prior that Survivor Series is the place for many monumental debuts over the years. The Rock, The Undertaker, The Shield, Sting and Kurt Angle have all made their debuts at the event. How about adding another to this list??

Samoa Joe is a name that pops up in my head immediately. I could easily see him appear in the main event and take out Lesnar. What a way that would be to make his main roster debut and set up a Wrestlemania match.

We are not sure what will happen on Sunday, all I know is I am excited and hope something big is planned for the event!!! Let us know your predictions in the comment section below!
