WWE Purchases Another Tape Library For The WWE Network, WWE Superstars Is Finished

The WWE Network has been a big hit since it launched several years ago. For a monthly fee, fans are able to watch their favorite matches and moments in wrestling history. For hardcore fans, things are getting a little bit sweeter as WWE has purchased another tape library.

According to WWE Network News, WWE has purchased another tape library. They have purchased the video library of the Heartland Wrestling Association. The HWA is a Midwestern independent promotion based out of Cincinnati, Ohio.

The HWA was once the developmental promotion for both WCW and WWE. The library could feature talents such as: John Cena, Eugene, Charlie Haas, 3 Count, Dean Ambrose and more, who all once wrestled for the promotion. It is unclear right now when the content will be added to the WWE Network.

PWInsider.com is also reporting that the show: ‘WWE Superstars’ is no more. It usually tapes after RAW and featured some of the lower card wrestlers getting a chance to wrestle on TV.

It looks like WWE Main Event will now tape after RAW and feature lower card talent from both brands. 205 Live will air after Smackdown.

  1. If they have the whole HWA library, I was going there for shows in 2011-2012 and they were a pretty great indy fed at the time.
