AJ Styles Provides An Injury Update To Fans

AJ Styles was injured in his match at the TLC PPV. Styles took on Dean Ambrose in a Tables, Ladders and Chairs match for the WWE World Championship. It was a very physical match and included many entertaining moments throughout.

Styles showed up to Smackdown Live this week wearing a walking boot on his left ankle. He told the crowd that he was unable to defend his WWE World Title against James Ellsworth because he was not medically cleared to compete. Styles suffered what is being called a minor ankle injury at TLC in the match.

Styles posted on Instagram on Thursday, providing fans a bit of an update on his status. He is rehabbing and says that he will be back 100%:

@atlrehab getting fixed up. Don’t worry, I’ll be back %100!!

Happy to hear that he is taking some time to recover and isn’t forcing it. Styles has been WWE’s MVP so far in 2016 and they will need him as we head into Wrestlemania season.  Hopefully he is only out for a week or so and is able to perform again soon.
