There were some rumors circulating 0n the internet over the past couple of weeks that the original plans for a match between the Undertaker and John Cena at Wrestlemania 33 had been scrapped. This was because Cena was rumored to be upset with how much money some of the part-timers were being paid by WWE.

According to the latest issue of the Wrestling Observer (subscribe here), these rumors are NOT true. Cena is not upset with the WWE paying guys like Goldberg and Brock Lesnar big money for part-time appearances.
It is also mentioned that the plans for the Undertaker’s opponent at Wrestlemania 33 have NOT changed. They don’t know if the plan is for a John Cena vs Undertaker match at the event. They only report that whatever WWE had in mind for the Undertaker several months ago, is still the plan in place moving forward.
Many fans want to see a match between John Cena and the Undertaker. It would be a massive match for both guys in the tail end of their careers and WWE fans haven’t seen it at Wrestlemania.
Other plans have the Deadman facing off against AJ Styles. It would be billed as ‘the Phenom vs the Phenomenal One’.

I guess we will have to wait and see. It is still entirely possible that an Undertaker vs Cena or a Underaker vs Styles match happen. We will have to wait and see what happens in the next few weeks and how WWE chooses to book it. WWE could also go off-book and have him face someone completely unexpected.
