Update On Mickie James Heading To WWE’s Main Roster

Mickie James recently returned to WWE when she wrestled Asuka at NXT Takeover: Toronto. Mickie was unsuccessful in her quest to become the new NXT Women’s Champion and after the match, her status with the company was unclear. Would she be sticking around or was it just a one-off?

According to F4WOnline.com, Mickie James completed a physical with WWE’s doctors in Pittsburgh this week. If all things go well, she is expected to join WWE’s main roster very soon.

They also report that Mickie will indeed be joining the Smackdown Live Women’s division.

It is not confirmed but there is speculation that if all the tests go right, Mickie could be joining the Smackdown Live roster before the end of January.

She will be a nice addition to the roster and many fans are excited about the possibilities with her joining the blue brand. She proved at NXT Takeover that she can still go in the ring with the best of them. The blue brand will benefit from her veteran presence on the roster.

Hoping to see Mickie James vs Becky Lynch/ Alexa Bliss/ Natalya + more.

Let us know what you think in the comment section below. Are you excited she will be joining Smackdown or would you have preferred her to be on RAW? How would you book her debut on Smackdown?

  1. i still don’t understand the thinking… are we to get some sasha/charlotte/bayley combo match until the end of time? why not add someone to the mix? jax isn’t interesting enough, IMO, to warrant matches w/ them. I understand emma is returning soon to the raw brand, but, I don’t understand not doing a couple of womens matches on raw. raw is so bad now that you could elevate the women and do something different then the same old tired show every week.
