WWE News: Triple H Addresses Criticism Of Shinsuke Nakamura Not Getting Called Up To WWE’s Main Roster

One of the biggest criticisms from WWE fans over the past several months has been why WWE hasn’t called up Shinsuke Nakamura to the main roster. Nakamura is one of the best wrestlers in the entire company but is only being seen by a small portion of WWE’s audience on NXT.

Many fans feel like WWE is ‘wasting’ Nakamura’s talents by keeping him in the developmental system for so long. He is 36 years old and has been wrestling since the early 2000’s, meaning that his body has a lot of miles on it.

In a recent interview with ESPN, Triple H addresses some of the criticism about Nakamura not getting called up to the main roster:

“One of the things that’s funny to me — I always laugh at it — is when people say to me, ‘I watch Nakamura every week in NXT. I don’t know why they don’t put him on Raw so I can watch him on Raw every week”

He continued:

“You’re getting to see him, right? You’re getting to see him doing what he does, in a big way. The opportunities are there. He’s got that clean path now to get here, when he gets here he might go there, he might go back”

  1. I think it’s too soon, personally. He needs to keep building his popularity in NXT and then come out to a huge pop on RAW or Smackdown one day later this year.
