The Royal Rumble takes place on January 29th, 2017 at the Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas. The event will be headlined as always by a 30-man battle royal. Below are our 2017 Royal Rumble predictions that we will update as the event draws closer.

2017 Royal Rumble Predictions:
Neville vs Rich Swann – WWE Cruiserweight Championship
Neville has been a fantastic addition to the Cruiserweight division so far. No doubt in my mind that he will be walking away with the Cruiserweight Title and proceed to go on a lengthy title run.
Prediction – Neville wins.
Sasha Banks vs Nia Jax – Kickoff Show
I am guessing there is going to be a screwy finish, leading to the feud between these two continuing.
Prediction: Nia wins via DQ.
Cesaro and Sheamus vs Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson – RAW Tag Team Championships

If I had to guess, Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson will win the titles. Sheamus and Cesaro are both scheduled for the Royal Rumble match later in the night so we could see some fallout from them losing the titles in that match. This would lead to Sheamus and Cesaro splitting up as a tag and facing off.
Prediction: Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson win!
Naomi, Nikki Bella and Becky Lynch vs Alexa Bliss, Mickie James and Natalya
This one could go either way and is of little consequence because the three feuds involved in this match will continue regardless of who wins or loses. If I had to guess, Mickie James picks up the win for her team in her in-ring debut.
Predictions: Mickie, Alexa and Natalya win.
Bayley vs Charlotte – RAW Women’s Championship.
I think it is too early for Bayley to win the RAW Women’s Title right away. I think WWE is going to drag this feud on into Wrestlemania 33 where she will eventually have a big moment and win the belt off Charlotte.
Prediction – Charlotte retains, likely by cheating.
John Cena vs AJ Styles – WWE World Championship.
Should be another classic match between the two. Their last encounter at Summerslam was chosen by many WWE fans as the 2016 match of the year. They will be looking to build off that and put on another classic.
Prediction – John Cena wins, tying Ric Flair’s record.
Kevin Owens vs Roman Reigns – WWE Universal Championship.
These two put on a decent clash at WWE Roadblock: End of the Line and will be facing off again, with Chris Jericho suspended above the ring in a shark cage. I think Owens retains here and headlines Wrestlemania.
Prediction – Kevin Owens retains.

Royal Rumble Match
I honestly feel like anything can happen this year and that is what makes it great. I expect Goldberg and Brock Lesnar to eliminate each other, setting up a clash at Wrestlemania. I expect Triple H to return, costing Seth Rollins the match.
As for a winner, this year is really up in the air. I wrote an article about 7 WWE stars that have a realistic chance of winning this year, showing you how open the field is.
Prediction – Chris Jericho, setting up Owens vs Jericho at Wrestlemania 33 for the Universal Title.
