The big news of the week was Kurt Angle being announced as the headliner of the 2017 WWE Hall of Fame class. It was also rumored earlier in the week, that a few names could be joining him. Names like: Rick Rude, DDP, I.R.S, Christian and William Regal are rumored to be inducted this year.

That is a strong grouping of names, but there was no mention of a 2017 WWE Hall of Fame female inductee until now.
According to a report from PWInsider Elite (subscribe here), the 2017 WWE Hall of Fame female inductee will be Beth Phoenix.
“The Glamazon” is a 3 time Women’s Champion and a 1 time Divas Champion for WWE. She wrestled for the WWE from 2006 until 2012. She was also the second Woman in WWE history (after Chyna) to enter the Royal Rumble match when she did so in 2010.

Beth recently married WWE Hall of Famer Edge.
Many fans thought that the female inducted into this years class would be Chyna, but it looks like they are going to wait another year. This will likely outrage a number of fans but it sounds like they are choosing to wait a bit longer to induct her after she passed away in 2016.
