Kurt Angle Addresses The Elephant In The Room, His TNA Matches And The WWE Hall of Fame

Kurt Angle was announced as the headliner for the 2017 WWE Hall of Fame class. This marks the return of Angle to WWE after he left the company over a decade ago. Angle had been working in TNA and other promotions for the past 10 years, putting on some great matches.

The question that many fans had after Angle was announced for the Hall of Fame was if there would be any mention or recognition of his TNA days when he is inducted. WWE typically likes to ignore TNA’s existence since it is the WWE Hall of Fame (and not the Wrestling Hall of Fame). The problem is, Angle worked for TNA for a decade and it is hard to completely ignore.

In an interview with Sports Illustrated, Angle addressed the elephant in the room, saying that he would like WWE to purchase the TNA library:

Here is what he said:

“The WWE Universe is different from the rest of the world. Even though I was wrestling all these great matches, most WWE fans didn’t see those matches”

He continued:

“That makes me sad, but it would be nice if WWE somehow got my TNA library, as well as AJ Styles’s, Samoa Joe’s, and Bobby Roode’s so people can see the stuff we did. Those guys will continue to have great matches, but we also had some great ones in TNA”
