On this weeks episode of Smackdown Live, John Cena and AJ Styles went back and forth with some trash talk before their match at the Royal Rumble. Styles went on to say that Cena was a sorry excuse for a wrestler. Cena responded by asking why, because he never put time on the indie scene? He says that he wasn’t built for the indies, he was built for the WWE.

On Talking Smack, AJ Styles was asked why John Cena couldn’t make it on the indie scene.
He says that Cena couldn’t hang with guys like him. Styles knows everything there is to know about performing inside of a ring. He says that he knows every single style of wrestling, if you ask him to do something, he can do it.
He says that Cena is strong and has a great mind for the ring but it takes more than that. He finishes it off by saying that:
“John Cena wouldn’t last two seconds in an independent ring”
