Some Possible Good News On The Injury To Seth Rollins

As noted prior, Seth Rollins was injured this past week on RAW at the hands of Samoa Joe. Rollins re-injured the same knee that forced him to miss several months and drop the WWE World Heavyweight Championship. This has put his match with Triple H at Wrestlemania 33 in serious jeopardy.

We noted that it sounds like his recovery time will be cutting it close for Wrestlemania. WWE will have to make a decision on whether or not they want to scrap his potential match against Triple H or continue to build towards it.

We have some potential good news on the situation (but it is speculation by us). It appears as if WWE is planning on using the injury as an angle on RAW over the next week weeks. They posted on their website that they would be providing a full medical update for us on RAW and he is off live events for the weekend:

“UPDATE: The full extent of Seth Rollins’ injury remains unknown, but WWE.com can confirm that the former WWE Champion has not been cleared to compete at WWE Live Events this weekend. A full medical update will be given this Monday night on Raw”

If the injury was going to keep him out of Wrestlemania, it is much more likely that WWE would break the news on their website and move forward with Triple H and a new opponent. The fact that there is a segment on RAW means to us that there is still hope.

Also, Rollins posted on Twitter some fan-art that implies he still has his eyes set on facing Triple H:

This is speculation by us but it seems like Rollins could be good to go for Wrestlemania and WWE is going to use the injury as an angle as he recovers.

  1. I sure hope he makes it back for wrestlemania! It would be such a shame if he missed another wrestlemania! And he was signed up for The Crossfit Games which now he will miss as well.
