Seth Rollins was injured at the hands of Samoa Joe last week, in the final segment of RAW. Rollins suffered a legitimate knee injury, the same knee that took him out of action for almost a year. This has placed his Wrestlemania 33 status and his potential match against Triple H in serious doubt.

WWE promised that on RAW this week we would get a full update on Seth’s status.
PWInsider is reporting that Seth is NOT backstage for RAW tonight. This means that they will address the situation but Rollins will not be on the show tonight (unless they did some sort of pre-taped segment).
They also report that he has flown back to Birmingham, Alabama. It is unclear what that means at this time. Let’s hope it isn’t for a surgery that will take him out for several months.
It was reported a few days ago that the initial diagnosis for Rollins was a torn MCL. This would keep him out for around 8 weeks but would still allow him to compete at Wrestlemania. It is unclear right now if that has changed.

WWE will likely use the injury as a way to build Samoa Joe up as a monster. We will have to see how they deal with the situation on RAW. Have to wonder if Triple H will be the one providing the injury update tonight or if it will be the announce crew briefly mentioning it.
