The big story on Wednesday night was Finn Balor appearing at the NXT taping. He came to make the save for Shinsuke Nakamura. He ended up getting physical in the ring, hitting a clothesline and a slingblade on Andrade ‘Cien’ Almas and Bobby Roode.

Balor got on the mic and told fans that he still wasn’t medically cleared to return. This seemed odd considering he just got physical in the ring and his arm looked good to go.

According to a report from Pro Wrestling Sheet, Balor is still not fully cleared to compete. He still has a medical examination to pass at the beginning of March.
The Wrestling Observer reports that Balor is expected to return in two weeks. There are plans for him to be on the Wrestlemania 33 card, it is just not clear what the capacity will be or who he will face.
It is likely that WWE was testing out the injured shoulder of Balor in a live environment. From the multiple videos he has posted of his rehab and the performance at the live event, it is clear that he is ready to go. WWE is likely just being extra careful with him and don’t want to rush it.
