As we noted prior, Alberto Del Rio (wrestling as Alberto El Patron) made his debut at the recent TNA Impact Wrestling Taping. We also noted that he was reportedly in-line for a massive push to begin his career with the company.

It looks like this turned out to be VERY true. El Patron reportedly won the TNA World Championship on his first night against Bobby Lashley.
*** Note: the finish of the match was apparently controversial with El Patron walking out with the World Title. It appears like the company is dropping the TNA name and this could be their angle to create a new championship belt.
