Mauro Ranallo missed his second straight week on Smackdown Live. Last week, Tom Phillips announced that Mauro was missing due to the weather. This week on Smackdown Live, Phillips announced that Mauro was sick in order to explain his absence.

So what the heck is going on with Mauro Ranallo and why does he keep missing shows?
We do not know the exact answer but it is starting to look more and more like something is going on behind-the-scenes. Mauro hasn’t tweeted (as of writing this) since March 14th. Strange considering that he is usually very active on social media.
Dave Meltzer in the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter said:
“What they said on the air was that the weather prevented Ranallo from coming and he’d be back next week and that Otunga was out filming a movie. At least half of that was true since Otunga was out filming a movie”

It appears as if Dave knows something that he doesn’t want to report as of yet. We will have to wait and see.
