You have heard all of the jokes before on the internet: Vince McMahon likes “Big, Sweaty Men”. That is because for so many years, Vince has always pushed a certain look as his ideal wrestler or top guy in the company: big and with a lot of muscles.

Over the past few years we are starting to see a ton of diversity when it comes to the look of some of the top athletes in the company. Bray Wyatt, Kevin Owens and Finn Balor have all won Championships over the past year, 3 guys who don’t possess the regular look that we are used to seeing as WWE fans.
Triple H was recently interviewed by NBC Sports where he spoke on WWE’s changing trend of what a star should look like. Here is what he said:
“So, I’m a big believer in talent is talent. It comes in all shapes, sizes, looks, feels, everything”
He would continue, saying that although Vince McMahon does have an idea as to what is his ideal WWE Superstar looks like, he has become a lot more open to other looks over the years:
“My selection process is different. Yes, I understand what Vince likes and what Vince sees in an ideal archetype performer, but I also know him well enough to know that he likes a lot of different archetypes, so I’m not going to give him one; I’m going to give him a little bit of everything. He’s going to see a Bray Wyatt and go (Vince voice) ‘That’s great!’ He’s going to see a Braun Strowman and go ‘Ah yeah, that’s my wheelhouse right there. I love that.’ He’s going to see Finn Balor and hear the girls going nuts and then see the paint and go ‘Geez look at that, I love that!’ That’s something that I don’t think would have been put in front of him eight years ago”

Triple H seems to have a great mind for this business. Seems like the future of the company is in good hands.
