WWE Money In The Bank 2017 Predictions – Who We Want To Win

WWE Money in the Bank 2017 will take place at the Scottrade Center in St. Louis. The event will be a Smackdown Live exclusive PPV event. That means that only WWE stars on the blue brand will get the chance to win the Money in the Bank contract this year.

Shane McMahon has announced the participants: AJ Styles, Dolph Ziggler, Kevin Owens, Shinsuke Nakamura, Sami Zayn and Baron Corbin. Here is how we rank them based on who we want to win!

6) Dolph Ziggler,

  • Don’t think Ziggler has a shot to win. I also don’t have much interest in seeing him with the briefcase. Sorry Dolph.

5) Baron Corbin

  • WWE is clearly high on him and he has progressed nicely on the WWE main roster since making his debut at Wrestlemania 32. Some will argue that he probably needs a run with a mid-card title first and I can’t disagree with them on that.

4) Sami Zayn

  • Now that Sami Zayn is officially on Smackdown Live, he instantly becomes a candidate to win this years Money in the Bank briefcase. Sami is one of the most beloved men in the company and him winning the contract this year would be a nice, feel-good moment for WWE fans. He hasn’t had an incredible amount of success so far on the WWE main roster but it is only a matter of time before he starts winning some gold. It might be a stretch for him to win the briefcase this year, but he will put on a solid performance.

3) Shinsuke Nakamura

  •  I expect Nakamura to be a big-time threat to win the briefcase. He is clearly a superstar and someone who WWE is going to build their future around. I was personally surprised WWE included him in the match as I thought they would build him up slowly.

2) Kevin Owens

  • It seems like Kevin Owens holding the Money In The Bank briefcase would be a match made in heaven. Imagine Owens tormenting whoever is champion with constant trolling of a potential cash-in? I think it could be a lot of fun. Owens has already proved that he is a main-event level talent with his run as WWE Universal Champion. It only seems logical that he could be challenging for the WWE Championship in the near future now that he is on Smackdown Live. It would also set-up an unexpected cash-in somewhere down the line-  Owens being a prize-fighter would wait until the best possible moment to strike and win the title.

1) AJ Styles

  • The obvious choice is that AJ Styles will walk away with the Money In The Bank briefcase when it is all said and done. He will likely be the favorite heading into the match based on his success over the past year.  This could also be a way for him to be shot right back into the WWE Championship picture.

  1. I disagree with your #1. I honestly believe they’re giving the title to Styles at Backlash in May. Its already been established that he technically hasn’t had an actual rematch yet and I just dont see anyone else feuding with Orton after his title match at Payback
