The New Day were acquired by Smackdown Live in the recent ‘Superstar Shake-Up’. This was a big addition for the Smackdown Live tag team division, that has been struggling for the past few months. It was the only WWE Title to not have a match on the Wrestlemania 33 card.

Smackdown has been airing vignettes for the New Day, saying that they are ‘coming soon’. We noted prior that WWE is likely going to keep them off television until Kofi Kingston recovers from his recent ankle injury.
So when the New Day do return, who will their first feud on Smackdown Live be against?
According to the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter (subscribe here), the New Day will be feuding with Tag Team Champions: The Usos. This feud will be given a solid amount of screen time and the hope is it will help revamp the tag team division on the blue brand.
The secondary feud in the Smackdown tag team division will be American Alpha against Primo and Epico, something that WWE has been building for the past few weeks.

It is unclear when exactly the New Day will make their debuts on the blue brand as it depends on the recovery of Kofi. Even if he isn’t 100%, he can appear alongside the team and have Xavier Woods and Big E wrestle the matches. When they do appear, expect them to make a big impact on Smackdown Live.
