Update On Roman Reigns’ Status This Weekend

Earlier this week, we got the news that former WWE tag team champion Rosey (real name Matt Anoa’i) passed away suddenly. The news shocked the wrestling world as he was only 47 years old at the time of his passing. Rosey was the brother of current WWE star Roman Reigns.

Many questions have been asked about Reigns and his WWE status during this difficult time right now. His family released a statement, saying that they are heartbroken by his untimely death.

Here is what we can tell you about Reigns and this weekends live events.

Reigns was recently pulled from the advertising of this weekends WWE live events. This includes the Friday show in Rapid City, South Dakota. The Saturday show in Bismark, North Dakota and the Sunday show in Fargo, North Dakota.

As of writing this, he still is advertised for Monday Night RAW in Kansas City.

Reigns was written off television a few weeks ago with a vicious assault from Braun Strowman. WWE could keep him off television again if they need to. We will have to wait and see what ends up happening on Monday Night and if he appears. He is scheduled to face Braun Strowman at Payback next Sunday.

Our opinion – Reigns and his family deserve time to grieve in this difficult time. I think a lot of fans would understand if he couldn’t make RAW this week. This is about more than wrestling and our thoughts are still with the Anoa’i family.

We will let you know if we hear anything more on the situation.
