1)Hideo Itami is BACK!

Hideo Itami returned and interrupted the NXT Champion, Bobby Roode. Bobby Roode was taunting the crowd and saying that he sent Shinsuke Nakamura to the main roster after beating him two consecutive times in a title match. Hideo Itami entered the ring, and Roode extended a hand. Itami slapped the champion, connects with the GTS, and holds up the NXT Championship.
After being sidelined with two injuries, I am very happy to see Hideo Itami finally in the title picture. These two are bound to put on a great title match!
2) Tyler Bate vs Jack Gallagher for the U.K. Championship on 4/26/17!
Ever since the United Kingdom Championship Tournament, some participants have gone to NXT and 205 Live to showcase their talents, while we are still waiting for the U.K. show to go live. In a backstage interview, the first ever United Kingdom Champion and “Gentleman Jack” exchanged pleasantries, tried to get into each other’s head, promising each other that they will win the United Kingdom Championship.
I feel this is a great way to showcase Jack Gallagher as to what he can do in the ring, as well as get some promo time. I feel that Gallagher has been lost in the shuffle at 205 Live, as a good majority of the cruiserweights have been. Win or lose, he is truly winning as he is letting the world know what he can do in the ring.
3) Potential Feud with Drew McIntyre and Andrade “Cien” Almas?
We were shown a WWE.com exclusive video where Drew McIntyre was lifting weights, only for Almas to come up and start taunting him in Spanish. It was announced that these two would have a match on 4/26/17, which leads me to believe that this feud may come full circle at the next NXT TakeOver event. With this being McIntyre’s second match since his debut in NXT, many fans will be watching with intrigue and interest, and I look forward to seeing him wrestle in the ring again!
As a side note, has anyone else felt like Andrade “Cien” Almas is a “warm-up” for debuting talents in NXT? It appears to be the case as he has been defeated by Bobby Roode, Roderick Strong, and Aleister Black at NXT TakeOver events, but winning matches during NXT tapings. If this feud follows the same formula, we could assume that Almas loses at the April 26th taping, and then losing to Drew McIntyre at NXT TakeOver.
4) Billy Kay & Peyton Royce Feud with Liv Morgan & Aliyah continues
On the recent episode of NXT, Kay & Royce tried cheating to win their match against Liv Morgan and Aliyah, only for their opponents to persevere and pick up the victory. It would appear that Billy Kay and Peyton Royce will be getting their revenge soon whether it be at the next few NXT tapings or at NXT TakeOver.
Here is something worth mentioning: Liv Morgan and Aliyah got ZERO reactions from the fans during their entrances. The only two women that were “over,” when they are heels, were Billy Kay and Peyton Royce. It is unfortunate as Morgan and Aliyah are the babyfaces, yet they weren’t getting much of a positive, or negative for that matter, reaction. It is disappointing as Full Sail is normally a rowdy crowd, and if a crowd isn’t invested into the wrestler, than most likely the viewers at home won’t be.
5) Tye Dillinger Overcomes SAnitY
In the main event of NXT, there was a steel cage match where Tye Dillinger would face Eric Young. These two put on a main event worthy match and did not disappoint in the match. The match also showed some great storytelling. When the “Perfect 10” went to go to escape from the cage via the door, SAnitY came out to prevent Tye from getting out. After that, Roderick Strong, Kassius Ohno, and Ruby Riot came to the aid of Tye and helped fend off SAnitY. After the run-ins occurred, Tye Dillinger managed to escape the cage, finally defeating the thorn in his side and getting a nice send off as he now competes on SmackDown Live!
