Summer Rae hasn’t been seen on WWE Television since prior to the 2016 draft. Summer was drafted to Monday Night RAW but has been recovering from an injury over the past several months.

There were some rumors floating around that Summer has been backstage of RAW for the past several weeks and was ready to make her return. Here is the latest update.
According to Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio (subscribe here), Summer Rae is healthy and ready to go whenever she is needed.
Meltzer says that the reason why she hasn’t been on WWE television yet is because creative simply doesn’t have anything for her at the moment. He says that both RAW and Smackdown Live have an even amount of Women and she doesn’t fit in anywhere right now.
WWE has to figure out what brand they want to use her on and where she fits in. Until then, she will be waiting on the sidelines for her return program.

It will be interesting to see what happens and where WWE decides to put her in. Fans of Summer will have to be a bit more patient as WWE figures out what to do with her.

Both her and Paige are on the same boat. I think that Paige will most likely get fired but what about Summer?
Paige would’ve been fired by now if they wanted to.
I think however that Paige will decide to leave WWE, herself.

If WWE and The Rock weren’t making a movie about her and her family, she’d probably would have been released ages ago.
Paige is still there because of that movie, she’d be gone right now if it wasn’t for that.

Both Raw and Smackdown Live have an even amount of Women is not a good reason, what about after Women Tournament, will those competitors have no place on Raw or Smackdown.
Summer could easily feud with Lana. Land planned a big debut on SD and it all gets ruined and overshadowed by Summer
Yes. Seems Lana has a dancing gimmick. Could bring back Summer with her dancer gimmick and outshine Lana haha
