Stephanie McMahon Comments On The Possibility Of Women Being In The Main Event Of Wrestlemania

Stephanie McMahon was recently interviewed by Neil Docking of the Mirror. She spoke on a wide variety of topics during the two-part interview. We have previously covered her thoughts on the Undertaker’s retirement at Wrestlemania 33.

There is no question that Women’s wrestling in WWE has taken a giant step forward over the past few years. From more time on television, to changing from ‘divas’ to ‘superstars’, we have seen a lot of positive progression.

Where to next? It always seems like the Women on the current roster are breaking records and barriers for Women’s wrestling in WWE. According to Stephanie, she wants to see a female main event of Wrestlemania one day:

“For the women of WWE, it’s to continue this evolution. You know I think that we’ve come a long way, they have been regularly featured and competing in main events at pay-per-views and on television, but I think there’s still a long way to go”

She continued:

“Ultimately, I would love to see our women main event WrestleMania”

Not sure if this will happen in the next year or the next 5, but it is a positive sign that Stephanie wants to see it happen.
