As noted prior, Tommaso Ciampa suffered an injury at Thursday night’s NXT live event. Ciampa came down awkwardly on his leg and the match was stopped. We posted a slow-motion video of the injury and it didn’t look great.

During Friday mornings conference call with Triple H, he provided an update on Ciampa’s injury and status for NXT Takeover: Chicago on Saturday. Ciampa and Johnny Gargano are scheduled to face the Authors of Pain in a ladder match for the NXT tag team titles.
Triple H says that Ciampa didn’t break or fracture anything. He [Ciampa] says he is good to go for NXT Takeover but it will be the WWE doctor’s final decision.
Triple H on @ProjectCiampa injury: He turned ankle. As precaution everything was stopped. Went for X-ray, no break or fracture.
