Rumors have been flying around the internet about who could possibly enter the tournament. The latest happens to be a former WWE star.
Ryan Satin of Pro Wrestling Sheet is reporting that WWE is in contact with Serena Deeb to come out of retirement to compete in the tournament.
She is best known for her brief time in WWE, where she was a member of CM Punk’s ‘Straight Edge Society’. She had her head shaved on the January 22nd, 2010 episode of Smackdown after begging to be saved by CM Punk.
She was released by WWE later in the year.
Serena had a successful career outside of WWE in SHIMMER and other promotions. She retired from wrestling in 2015.
An interesting move if it happens. She never really got a chance to showcase her abilities in WWE as she only wrestled a handful of matches during her time with Punk. She is also only 30 years old.
