The Battleground Pay-Per-View will take place on July 23rd, 2017. We just finished up with the Money in the Bank Pay-Per-View and it is time to make our way too early predictions on the match card for WWE Battleground 2017!

Here are the matches that we think could take place at the event. Warning: A lot will change over the next few weeks, this is just us taking a stab at it!
WWE Championship – Jinder Mahal vs John Cena
- John Cena returns on July 4th to challenge the ‘evil foreigner’.
WWE United States Championship – Kevin Owens vs AJ Styles vs Sami Zayn
- Kevin Owens and AJ Styles continue their feud. Throw Sami Zayn into the mix to keep him busy.
Smackdown Tag Team Championship – The Usos vs the New Day vs the Hype Bros vs American Alpha
- Hype Bros still are owed a title shot from when Ryder won the battle royal prior to his injury. American Alpha have been rumored to be getting some TV time soon. Maybe WWE builds towards this?
Shinsuke Nakamura vs Baron Corbin
- This was teased during Money in the Bank where Corbin took out Nakamura during his entrance.
Smackdown Women’s Championship – Naomi vs Charlotte
- Think Charlotte wins the title here and goes on a lengthy run as Champion.
Carmella vs Becky Lynch – For The Briefcase
- After the controversy at Money in the Bank, I could see Carmella being forced to put her briefcase on the line against Becky Lynch, who James Ellsworth stopped from winning.
Rusev vs Randy Orton
- No real reason. Would give them both something to do.
