Battleground takes place on July 23rd, 2017 in Philadelphia. The event will be headlined by a Punjabi Prison match for the WWE Championship! Here are our WWE Battleground 2017 predictions!

Jinder Mahal vs Randy Orton (Punjabi Prison Match)

 WWE Championship

This HAS to be the final match between these two right? The feud has been mediocre so far and it is time for both of them to move on. We think that Jinder will be winning the Punjabi Prison match and will move on to face John Cena at Summerslam.

Our prediction – Jinder Mahal wins.

The New Day vs the Usos

Smackdown Live Tag Team Championships

I have been enjoying the tag team title run for the Usos so far. If we had to guess, another team will get involved, to cost the New Day the titles. I think WWE will hold off the New Day winning the titles for a bit longer.

Our prediction- The Usos win.

AJ Styles vs Kevin Owens

WWE United States Championships

Match of the night potential.  I feel like these two pulled back in their first encounter and we will be seeing a much better match this time. As for a winner, I think AJ Styles will retain the title and go for a lengthy run with the belt.

Our prediction – AJ Styles wins.

John Cena vs Rusev

Flag Match

Not a doubt in my mind that John Cena will win this match and move on to a bigger opponent at Summerslam. No way WWE has Cena (and the USA) lose a flag match.

Our prediction – Cena wins.

Shinsuke Nakamura vs Baron Corbin

This is a tough one. Corbin has some momentum after winning the Money in the Bank contract. WWE has been booking Nakamura strongly over the past few months and is building him up. I expect this to be a hard-hitting match but I don’t expect either of them to lose clean.

Our prediction – Nakamura wins via disqualification after Corbin hits him with the briefcase.

Charlotte Flair vs Becky Lynch vs Natalya vs Tamina vs Lana

Winner Faces Naomi At Summerslam 

My gut is telling me that Becky Lynch will be the one to wrestle for the Women’s Championship at Summerslam. I think Becky wins this match and we get Naomi vs Becky for the title at Summerslam. (Or Becky vs Carmella if we see a cash-in before).

Tye Dillinger vs Aiden English
